Dollar 16 paisas strong against rupee in Inter-bank

KARACHI: Dollar Monday registered a gain of 16 paisas against rupee in the Inter-bank market, closing at Rs83.32. According to forex market dealers, rupee remained under pressure against dollar on the opening day of the week. They said the demand for dollar witnessed an increase due to the payment of import bills and dispatching of gains by the multi-national companies to their respective countries. The dollar closed at Rs83.83 in the open market today, said spokesman of Exchange Companies of Pakistan.
