KSE-100 Index gains 33 points

KARACHI: Fresh buying witnessed at Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) on Monday, pushing the benchmark KSE-100 Index up by 33 points to 9,487. The market began today�s journey in the green territory and at one point the major Index was also seen at 9,562 points. But the bomb blast in Islamabad led to some selling, leaving the Index at 33 points up. The trade volume was recorded at 230 million shares. Jehangir Siddiqui Company maintained its position as volume leader which gained paisas 16 to finish the day at Rs40.26. KSE-30 Index closed 25 points up to 10,195.
